My name is Marcio Okabe and I live in São Paulo the greatest city of Brasil and Latin America. I am japanese descendent and my granparents imigrated from Japan. My mother teached me origami when I was 6 years old. Now, I have 54 years old, married and have two kids (13 and 20 years old) and I am graduated in electrical engineering in Unicamp, one of the best universities of Brasil.
Origami.club was launched in 2017, because I have an intuition that I need to make something that bring meaning for my life. I was tired of my career in digital marketing and decided to follow my heart and embrace my childhood passion by origami.
I would never dream that I would be the unique speaker who uses origami as transformation tools and we use origami for team building and integration. And that my idea will become a movement to help origamists around the world to connect to each other and to companies/people who need and apreciate origami.
The purpose of Origami.club is to bring happiness and health to the world.
Origami.club will be a marketplace to CONNECT origamists around the World with people who loves the millenar art of folding paper – ORIGAMI – and organizations that needs to promote soft skills training using origami as tool of transformation. Origami stimulate FOCUS, team work, creativity and resilience. Origami can be also a great way of art and craft as income generation and to connect people as collective.

SESC – Social Service of Commerce is a private organization supported by entrepreneurs in businesses, tourism and services. Inspired by concepts from the Carta da Paz Social (Letter for Social Peace), it aims to provide well-being and quality of life to professionals working in these industries and their family members. SESC’s initiatives stem from a solid cultural and educational project that has borne the mark of innovation and social transformation since it was established by the business and services community in 1946.
